Reliance

About:

Reliance Infocomm is a part of the Reliance Group. Reliance Infocomm burst onto the Indian telecom scene in 2003, and rapidly carved a healthy niche for itself with some attractive and innovative marketing. It has since grown into one of India's largest players in the telecom sector.

Backed by 80,000 kms of fibre optic cable laid across the breadth of India, and an acquisition of Flag Telecom, an international network carrier, Reliance entered the broadband business in early 2005, but is yet to make its mark.

Technology:

Reliance provides both ("Metro")Ethernet & ADSL broadband connections. More detailed information will be added shortly (once it is verified).

Notes:

  • Plans which are "Online Speed Select" compatible allow users to change the bandwidth (100 Kbps, 300 Kbps, 600 Kbps and 1 Mbps) available to them via a website. Charges vary depending on the bandwidth selected and are calculated on a per-minute basis. Please view the plans for each bandwidth setting to view their hourly rates.
  • Uploads are included in any data transfer calculations.
  • An installation charge of Rs. 500 is levied.
  • A refundable security deposit of Rs. 1000 is required.
  • Reliance offers pre-paid vouchers which can be used with the rates specified in the "online speed select" plans.
  • Reliance also offers discounts via combo plans for users who also avail other Reliance services.
