Established in 1995, Hathway Cable and Datacom started off purely as a cable TV company and then diversified into the ISP business, providing Internet connections over its existing cable network.

Bharti Airtel Limited

Airtel is the brand name under which Bharti Televentures (a Bharti Enterprises company) provides a range of telecommunications services which include Mobile, Landline and Internet services. Prior to embarking on a re-branding strategy in 2004, Bharti Televentures marketed each segment of its business under a different brand - Airtel (Cellular/Mobile), Touchtel (Landlines & Broadband Internet), IndiaOne (Long Distance) and MantraOnline (Internet).

Tata Communications Internet Services Limited

Tata Indicom is the moniker under which the Tata Group offers telecom services throughout the country, with Tata Indicom Broadband being the brand under which broadband services are offered. The Tata group's Internet arm primarily runs off VSNL, which until a few years back, was wholly owned by the Government Of India.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited

BSNL or Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is India's largest Communication Service Provider (CSP), and seventh largest in the world. Previously known as DoT (Department of Telecommunications) when it was under federal government control, it became a corporation in 2000. BSNL operates across the length and breadth of India (except the metropolitan cities of Mumbai and New Delhi which is managed by MTNL, a sister concern.) and commands over 45 million landlines and mobile connections.

Reliance Communications Infrastructure Limited

Reliance Infocomm is a part of the Reliance Group. Reliance Infocomm burst onto the Indian telecom scene in 2003, and rapidly carved a healthy niche for itself with some attractive and innovative marketing. It has since grown into one of India's largest players in the telecom sector.
